Oh, the belly rubs! Oh the boxing matches with his toys!

Lapis is a little jewel of a kitten. He's got long, soft, glossy black fur with a tiny white mark over his heart.

He was trapped in a feral cat colony, but by the next day was accepting scritchies. Within days, he was rolling over on his back for belly rubs. He's a soft, sweet little doll baby with big ears and long "ear curls."

Lapis needs a tiny bit more medical work, some vaccines and a microchip. However, he'll be ready for adoption in mid-July. You can pre-adopt him. That means you'll come out and visit him and fall in love, then pay the donation fee, sign the contract and the minute he's ready, he'll be delivered to your door.

Lapis is totally loveable, a floppy doll baby with long soft fur that's waiting to be stroked and brushed. He loves to play with his standup toys and dangly toys. Very soon, he'll learn all about balls and crinkly toys and feathers. He's that kind of guy. For a kitty born behind a store, he's a little gem, and we can't even say he's "in the rough." He's ready for a new home and a new life where he'll be cherished and loved.
