My foster mom says I have no "OFF" button. I'm always playing or getting into something.

I'm a polydactyl. Do you know what that is? I didn't, and I had to ask my friend Merlin to look it up in the dictionary. (Merlin likes books.)

A polydactyl cat has an extra toe on every foot. I use my front paws as hands because...I can!

Did you know the author Ernest Hemingway LOVED polydactyl cats? I didn't know him. But he'd love me. Everybody does. I know you will too.

I love to play with my foster siblings, and I love all toys. Every toy. But furry mice are my particular favorite.

I am the only surviving kitten of my litter. I was sad and lonely until I got here to my foster home, and there are lots of cats and kittens here. They made me feel welcome.

See, my mom had us in the woods out in the Heights, and she didn't get enough nutrition, so we all had to fight for our lives. It was tough, but my foster mom found me and took care of me, and now I'm fine as frog's hair. (I've seen frogs, and I don't think they have hair, but that's what my foster mom says, so it must be true.)

I love, love, love to eat. My foster mom says it's because I was so malnourished when she found me. I think it's because food tastes good.

I'm looking for a home where the meals come on time, where I'll have lots of fun playing, and where there is absolutely another cat. Or you could adopt me and one of my foster siblings too. I just really like to have another cat around.

If you come to see me, I'll ride around on your shoulder or sit on your lap and cuddle.

Won't you come and see me? Or fill out an online application at www.happycat.rescuegroups.org or write for more information at adoptme@happycatadoptions.org. I'll be waiting for you. I'm up for preadoption, which means I still have to finish up my medical work, so it's going to be a week or two before I can go to your house. But if you adopt me, as soon as I'm ready, I'll come right to your house. In the meantime, you can get photos and emails about me.
