Silky Terrier : : Female (spayed) : : Small
Lizzy is a sweet, lovable girl that is looking for her “forever” home. We think she's 100% Silky Terrier, but if not, she's a very good imitation of one! She was rescued from Animal Control and is estimated to be about 2 ½ years old. She didn’t come with her life story attached to her collar but we have figured out some really neat things about her. She is a true companion dog – she will get up with you in the morning and will follow you everywhere – she wants to be right next to you whether it’s sitting on the couch watching T.V., cleaning house, doing laundry, or cooking dinner. (She’s learning to wait in the living room while dinner’s cooking.) She’s learning some basic obedience commands, but would probably like to learn more – she’s very eager to please! Lizzy requires a securely fenced yard – she likes to chase birds and loves to run, but when she’s outside, she doesn’t always pay attention when you call her. (Obedience training would help with this.) She is currently living in a foster home with other animals, but she would do better as the only animal in the household. She prefers to not have to share her toys or her people. Speaking of toys, she really loves the kind with squeakers and she loves for someone to toss them. If she’s bored and no one wants to play, she will go get a toy and toss it for herself! Lizzy is happy to spread her love around – she can be a little shy at first, but warms up quickly. She’s a wonderful girl and is looking for the right home with the perfect couch and someone to sit next to. Go to our website at www.HappyCatAdoptions.org and fill out an online application for this sweet girl by clicking the adoption link under her photo or email questions directly to her foster mom at txcassie@yahoo.com. (Lizzie hopes that you'll understand that since she's in rescue with "Happy Cat Adoptions", there isn't a dog application for you to fill out. She just wants you to fill out the cat application and answer the questions as if they were being asked about dogs.) Lizzie is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
