Dakota is a real looker--and bound to grow up to be a ladies man because of his adorable face and fantastic markings. He's a dilute gray/buff color with deeper brown/black markings in the "classic" or bullseye tabby stripe--with a bullseye swirl on his sides.

He is a brave and inquisitive little boy, with a face that clearly says, "Can I come home with you?" He's active and playful and happy.

Dakota and his siblings were some of the lucky ones. Their mom was brought in to a local shelter in a trap as a nuisance feral cat. While she was on mandatory hold, she gave birth to five darling kittens, and the staff fell in love with them.

Because mom was so aggressive, the staff wasn't able to attend to the kittens as they needed to, and they put out the call to rescues to come and help. Sadly, because mom was so aggressive, few rescues were willing to take her, and finally, Happy Cat Adoptions heard of her plight and stepped up.

She's a great mom--okay, she's still feral, but she loves those kittens. The kittens are with their new foster home, and they are happy and healthy and loving and growing like the kittens they were meant to be.

Dakota is up for "pre-adoption," which means you can meet him, and if he's the one for you, you can complete the adoption. Dakota will be delivered when he's altered and vaccinated--at about nine weeks of age.
