He's just a kitten, and the world is very scary right now.

Katzer, his mom, and his sister were lost or abandoned, and made their way in an alley behind a resale store. They hooked up with another mom and kittens, and they hid in the bushes together.

All of them were skin and bones, and three of the kittens were killed by cars in a nearby street.

Katzer and his sister were the first to come to the food dish the rescuers put out. He crept in and was caught in the trap.

Now he's reunited with his mom and his sister, but he's frightened and worried about his future. He can't stay in the cage forever. Soon, he'll be moved to a foster home--and we're looking for one.

There, he'll learn how to love, how to relax, how to play with toys and be a kitten--not a frightened little fluff ball, scooting from dumpster to dumpster.

Katzer is up for pre-adoption, which means you can come and visit him and be part of his socialization visitors. You can fall in love with him, his soft, long fur, his curling ear hairs, his long narrow nose, and his pleading eyes. You can pet and play with him.

And when he's all done with his medical work and he's gained some self-confidence, he could go home with you, to his forever home.
